MOWS were privileged to work with eight local schools helping to plant the Te Pourepo o Kaituna wetland. It was a fantastic educational experience, giving the students the opportunity to learn about wetlands and water quality.

The project to restore the Tumu Kawa block, 70 hectares of land beside the Kaituna River, is being carried out by Bay of Plenty Regional Council, in partnership with Ngāti Whakaue, Tapuika, DOC, and Fish and Game.
